Field Organizers will lead our efforts to contact voters and recruit, train, and manage volunteers in persuading and turning out voters. We’re looking for someone who believes in the value of community organizing and is eager to engage individuals in the electoral process. This is someone who is eager to problem-solve, dream up new ideas, take risks, and “fail forward.” Organizing is challenging, and requires someone who is resilient and able to bounce back from setbacks, think creatively, and act collaboratively to persevere, troubleshoot, and succeed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Talk to voters about the upcoming election, both at the door and on the phone.

• Recruit, train, and manage teams of volunteers, helping them to organize in their own neighborhoods and communities.

• Meet daily goals for voter contact and volunteer recruitment, communicating any challenges to the Regional Field Director and working with them to problem solve and find solutions

• Participate in regular team meetings. 

• Perform additional job duties and responsibilities as requested.

 

Qualifications:

• Commitment and passion for social, racial and gender justice

• Experience in community, labor, or grassroots organizing is preferred

• Organized, motivated, self-starter

• Ability to be a team player and work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication skills and comfort with training, providing and receiving constructive feedback, and coaching

• Dedication and ability to work flexible hours in the field or in the field office

• Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license

 

Benefits:

Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), paid vacation and sick leave, and a monthly salary of $4,500. This position is 5 days a week and includes two protected days off each week (*off days may not be Saturday and Sunday and will be decided upon hiring).
